Frequently Asked Questions:
How should these cookies be stored?
The cookies will last nicely for up to 2 days on the counter, however, to store them longer than that, it is best to place them in an airtight container and then into the refrigerator for up to 5 days. These cookies can also be frozen for up to 30 days, but you may experience a slight texture difference.
Is the icing more of a glaze?
You do not want the icing to be too thick for these cookies. The consistency is up to you, however, you do want the icing to be the type that you can easily pour on the cookies.
Are there any variations that can be used?
These cookies can be made vegan by using the appropriate choices of ingredients. You could add a dash of cinnamon to the cookie batter for an extended flavor option. You could add chopped maple nuts, almonds or walnuts to the cookie dough to give them an added texture.
